Turkmenistan renews gas flow to Russia after short repair period
TASHKENT. Sept 23 (Interfax) - Turkmenistan cut off gas exports to Russia for a short time this week for pipeline repair, the dispatch center Uztransgaz told Interfax.
"Turkmenistan this week did repair work on its gas pipelines, in association with which there was a short suspension of export gas flow to Russia. Gas delivery has resumed in full now," a source at the center said.
The standard daily flow of Turkmen gas to Russia is 30.2 million cubic meters. In the week prior to the suspension of export operations, pipeline deliveries had increased to 37.4 million m3. Drops in flow occurred on September 20 (2.6 million m3) and September 21 (8.8 million m3), the center said.
