Significant progress reached at talks with Russian leaders - Yanukovych

KYIV. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Significant progress has been reached at a meeting between Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the Ukrainian president's press office said on Sunday.

The parties discussed a broad range of bilateral issues, in particular, gas transportation via and to Ukraine, the press office said.

Yanukovych said: "Significant progress has been reached at the negotiations, which gives reasons to hope for concrete results to be achieved in the interests of both countries in the very near future."

It was also decided at the meeting to hold the next session of the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental commission in Ukraine in October.
