Significant progress at Russian-Ukrainian gas talks - Timakova

MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - "Certain agreements have been reached" at the Saturday talks between Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, with participation of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Russian President's Press Secretary Natalya Timakova told journalists on Sunday.

"Following these agreements, a meeting was held between [Gazprom chief] Alexei Miller and [Ukrainian Energy Minister] Yuriy Boyko, during which they discussed the current situation. After the meeting, the Gazprom chief reported to the Russian president that significant progress had been reached in the discussion of the Ukrainian gas transit fee, which allows to expect the relevant agreements to be signed in the interests of both sides," Timakova said.
