Kudrin would rather enter business than politics, may be offered post in Kremlin's new staff - analysts
MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - Alexei Kudrin, who resigned as Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister on Monday, is unlikely to enter politics or join the opposition, Mark Urnov, dean of the Faculty of Applied Political Studies at the Higher School of Economics, said on Monday evening.
"Kudrin harbors rightwing liberal views, but there are no really functioning rightwing parties in Russia at the moment," Urnov said.
"In the worst-case scenario, Kudrin will get himself a job in big business. But in reality, he may well find himself in the new president's administration, given his close relationships with Putin," he said.
