Russian shares down, indexes lose 0.9%-1%
MOSCOW. Sept 29 (Interfax) - Russian share prices started Thursday with losses following last night's drop on Wall Street triggered by mounting discord in Europe over how to tackle the debt problem.
The MICEX stock index was down 0.98% to 1364.4 and the RTS was off 0.88% in the first minute of trading. Benchmark stocks fell up to 1.9%, however MMC Norilsk Nickel continued to rise, up 1%, after launching its share buyback on Wednesday, as did gold miner Polyus Gold .
