Belarus reaches agreement with Iran on $400 mln loan - National Bank of Belarus chair
MINSK. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Belarus intends to take out a $400 million loan from Iran, and Iran has given its preliminary consent to it, National Bank of Belarus Chair Nadezhda Yermakova said at the Council of the Republic of the Belarusian National Assembly on Monday.
"The loan worth about $400 million to be received from Iran is under consideration. Iran has made a preliminary decision on this," she said.
Yermakova told journalists later that she planned to visit Iran and have meetings at the local Central Bank to discuss details of the Iranian loan. "Perhaps I could go there this month or in November," Yermakova said.
