Ukraine boosts pipe production 35% in 9 mths
KYIV. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Steel pipe production in Ukraine soared 35.2% year-on-year in January-September to 1.676 million tonnes, Ukrtruboprom, the Dnipropetrovsk-based Ukrainian pipe producers' association, told Interfax.
Pipe production in September came to 176,300 tonnes.
The Metinvest holding's Khartsyzsk Pipe Mill, Ukrainian's biggest pipe producer, boosted output considerably in order to meet orders from Russian oil pipeline operator Transneft .
