Reports about visa sanctions against Russian officials from "Magnitsky list" do not correspond to reality - UK embassy in Russia

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - The UK embassy in Moscow has denied reports that the British government took steps aimed at preventing at least 60 Russian officials from the "Magnitsky list" from entering the UK.

"There has been no change in Government policy. We continue to have concerns about the Magnitsky case - as we mentioned during the PM's [UK Prime Minister David Cameron's] visit - but the Observer article originated from an Opposition MP and does not correctly describe the British Government's policy," the embassy's spokesman told Interfax on Monday.
