SOCAR drills well at Alyat Deniz field

BAKU. Oct 4 (Interfax) - The offshore exploratory drilling department of the Bail Limany Complex Drilling Trust has completed drilling of a new well at the Alyat Deniz field for the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), SOCAR told Interfax.

Projected depth of the well is 4,092 meters, the company said.

Expected daily production from the well is 15,000 to 20,000 cubic meters of gas and 40 tonnes of oil.

The Alyat Deniz field was launched in 1986. Geologists say it has recoverable reserves of 1.8 million tonnes of oil.
