Zero inflation in Russia Sept 27 to Oct 3 for 3rd week running - Rosstat

MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax) - Russia enjoyed a third straight week of zero inflation from September 27 to October 3, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported on Wednesday.

Since the start of the year, consumer prices were up 4.7%. One year ago, inflation from the start of October was 0.1% and from the beginning of the year - 6.4%.

'Inflationary swings' - where prices fall 0.1%, then stabilize, then fall 0.1% again, and so on - ended with the next to last week of September, having continued over eight straight weeks since the beginning of August.
