Duma Committee appoints Kontorovich to CBR board
MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax) - The State Duma on Wednesday appointed Vladislav Kontorovich to the Central Bank of Russia board of directors.
Central Bank Chairman Sergei Ignatyev said Kontorovich's candidacy for a seat on the Central Bank board had been agreed with President Dmitry Medvedev.
When Ignatyev was first deputy finance minister, Kontorovich was his assistant. Ignatyev became Central Bank chairman in March 2002 and Kontorovich was first his assistant and then advisor.
