Gazprom opens new deposit on Sakhalin shelf

MOSCOW. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Gazprom has opened a new Sakhalin-shelf deposit in the Mynginskaya structure in the promising Kirinsky section after geological survey work under the Sakhalin-3 project, the company said.

During the survey operations, an exploratory well produced gas and gas condensate flow. After the completion of testing, wells will be drilled to evaluate the deposit's reserves.

This new deposit is the second the company has opened in the Kirinsky section.
