Kazakhstan up gas production 8.2% in Jan-Sept

ASTANA. Oct 7 (Interfax) - There was 29.480 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas produced in Kazakhstan in January-September, 8.2% more year-on-year.

That included 14.532 bcm of natural gas, 14.2% more.

Sources with the Kazakh government told Interfax that national oil and gas company KazMunayGas extracted 876.031 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas over the nine months (95.6% of Jan-Sept 2010 output).

Enterprises KazMunayGas has stakes in produced 11.588 bcm of gas in January-September (100.1% of Jan-Sept 2010 output), including the joint venture Tengizchevroil - 10.021 bcm (100.2%).

Other Kazakh enterprises extracted 17.016 bcm of gas (115.4%), including Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) - 12.680 bcm (117.4%).

There was 3.150 bcm of gas produced in Kazakhstan just in September.
