Belarus GDP grows 7.9%, inflation 74.5% in 9 mths
MINSK. Oct 12 (Interfax) - Belarusian GDP grew 7.9% year-on-year in January-September to 186.7 trillion Belarusian rubles, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) told Interfax.
In September, consumer prices grew 13.6% compared to August and 74.5% compared to December 2010, Belstat said.
Industrial production grew 10.6% in January-September to 206.7 trillion Belarusian rubles. Agricultural production grew 4%, Belstat said.
Fixed investment rose 14.9% in January-September to 54.6 trillion Belarusian rubles, Belstat said.
Real GDP is targeted to grow 9-10% in 2011, taking into account inflation of 7.5-8.5%.
As of October 12, the official exchange rate was 5,765 Belarusian rubles/$1.
