Medvedev: EU likely to be worrying more about its stability than about gas imports

DONETSK, Ukraine. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev argued on Tuesday that the European Union is today more likely to be concerned about its economic stability than about its natural gas imports.

"It seems to me, by the way, that our partners in the European Union who [Ukrainian President] Viktor Fedorovych [Yanukovych] spoke about and who are worrying about gas and something else as well are at the moment worrying about their stability primarily," Medvedev said at a joint news conference in Donetsk with Yanukovych.
