Putin proposes using EurAsEc Anti-Crisis Fund to aid Kyrgyzstan

ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Funding could be made available from the Anti-Crisis Fund of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEc) to support Kyrgyzstan's economy, said Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

Part of the resources from the Anti-Crisis Committee have already been put into the Belarusian and Tajik economies, he told EurAsEc's Interstate Council in St. Petersburg.

"We discussed in a narrow format the importance of aiding Kyrgyzstan," he said.

"The current situation on the global financial markets confirms again that our decisions to form a system of mutual anti-crisis support was correct," he said.

EurAsEc is comprised of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
