Surgutneftegas deals with accident at oil field

MOSCOW. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Surgutneftegas has dealt with an accident at the Fyodorovskoye oil field, one of its main fields, in the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District, the company told Interfax.

"The clean-up is under way," the company said.

Well-kill fittings burst at a well-pad at the field in the evening of October 18, releasing a liquid that consisted of 90% water onto the surface.

The repairs were completed as of 12:30 a.m. Moscow time Thursday.
