Armenian GDP widens 5% in Jan-Sept - PM
YEREVAN. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Economic growth in Armenia reached 5% in January-September 2011, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said at a government meeting Thursday.
"GDP rose 5%, which is a rather good result," he said.
Industrial and agricultural output grew in the nine months, he said. "There is still a downward trend in construction," he added.
The 2011 budget forecasts GDP growth of 4.6%.
The International Monetary Fund also predicts GDP growth of 4.6%.
