Muravlenkovskneft to up gas production to 4 bln cu m
SALEKHARD. Oct 24 (Interfax) - Muravlenkovskneft, a branch of Gazprom Neft-Noyabrskneftegaz, plans to increase its gas production from the Cenomanian deposit of the Muravlenkovskoye field by 800 million cubic meters a year to 4 billion cu m, Muravlenkovskneft's press service said.
Gas production is scheduled to increase due to the operation of new wells.
Muravlenkovskneft did not specify the timeframe in which gas production will reach these volumes.
As of October 18, 3 billion cu m of gas had been extracted from the Cenomanian deposit, which is one-fifth of Muravlenkovskneft's total hydrocarbon equivalent production, the press service said.
The Cenomanian deposit's A, B and C1 category gas reserves total 68.16 billion cu mu, at a depth of 1,000 meters.
The Muravlenkovskoye field was officially put into operation on March 1, 2011, although in fact production began earlier, in the winter. During the development of the field's gas reservoir at the end of 2011 and further, there are plans to produce around 3.2 billion cu m of gas per year.
Once the field entered into operation, Muravlenkovskneft acquired the status of an oil and gas producing enterprise.
OJSC Gazprom Neft-Noyabrskneftegaz is the main production arm of Gazprom Neft and is the biggest oil producing enterprise in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District.
