Ruble gains on dollar, bicurrency basket Weds
MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - After two days of slippage, the Russian ruble rebounded against the bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) on Wednesday, gaining 13 kopecks to 35.77 rubles amid local world market stabilization.
The dollar closed at 30.54 rubles/$1, having lost 26 kopecks from Tuesday close. The euro was up 2.5 kopecks at 42.16 rubles/EUR1.
The average weighted dollar rate slipped 3.72 kopecks to 30.6414 rubles/$1 in MICEX Today deals and 15.93 kopecks to 30.5966 rubles/$1 in Tomorrow deals. Dollar trading combined to $7.581 billion on the day, with $1.889 billion in Today and $5.692 billion in Tomorrow trades.
The average weighted euro rate lost 4.63 kopecks to 42.1413 rubles/EUR1 in Today and 3.04 kopecks to 42.1443 rubles/EUR1 in Tomorrow exchanges. Euro trading combined to EUR 437.64 million, with EUR 212.858 million in Today and EUR 224.782 million in Tomorrow trades.
The overnight MosPrime Rate slid 28 basis points to 5.32% per annum.
