Gas production up 7.7% in Kazakhstan in Jan-Oct
ASTANA. Nov 3 (Interfax) - Gas production in Kazakhstan amounted to 32.724 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-October, a 7.7% year-on-year increase.
There was 15.923 bcm of natural gas produced during the ten months, up 12.8%.
The Kazakh government told Interfax that KazMunayGas had extracted 977.171 million m3 of the 'blue fuel' in Jan-Oct, 95.6% of what it had a year earlier.
Enterprises KazMunayGas is involved in produced 12.995 bcm of gas in Jan-Oct (up 0.4% year-on-year), including the joint venture Tengizchevroil - 11.249 bcm (up 0.5%).
Other Kazakh outfits extracted 18.752 bcm of gas (up 14.3%), including Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) - 13.858 bcm (up 15.8%).
There was 3.270 bcm of gas produced in Kazakhstan in October.
