Kazatomprom increases net profit by 72% in Jan-Sept
ALMATY. Nov 10 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's national nuclear company, Kazatomprom, increased its net profit by 72% year-on-year to 56.4 billion tenge (147.91 tenge/$1 on November 10, 2011) in January-September 2011, the company said.
The company said in a statement that its consolidated revenues went up by 62% to 264.7 billion tenge.
The statement said that the increase in the financial results had been driven by rising sales of uranium production.
Kazatomprom is the Kazakh national operator for the export of uranium, as well as rare metals, nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants, special equipment, technologies, and dual-purpose materials.
