Uralchem ups output 6% in Jan-Sept

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - The companies of Russian fertilizer producer Uralchem increased output 6% year-on-year in January-September 2011 to 3.81 million tonnes, the company reported.

Production of ammonium nitrate increased 7%, while output was reduced to zero for diammonium phosphate and monoammonium phosphate sulfur because of the market situation. Instead output increased 63% for ammonium phosphate and 18% for compound fertilizers.

Output of other mineral fertilizers increased 110% thanks to higher sales and exports of potassium nitrate. Production for industrial consumers grew 28% thanks to increased sales on the domestic market of sulfuric and nitrogen acid, aluminum fluoride and phosphogypsum.

Uralchem's main production assets are: the Azot branch of Uralchem in Berezniki (Perm), Mineral Fertilizer Plant of Kirovo-Chepetsk (Kirov region), and Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizer (Voskresensk, Moscow region).
