National Bank of Belarus grows net foreign assets 19% in Jan-Oct
MINSK. Nov 16 (Interfax) - The National Bank of Belarus's net foreign assets stood at $4.231 billion on November 1, 19.1% more than on the first of the year, a statistical report from the bank says.
Net foreign assets grew 10.6% in October after 1.4% growth the month before.
The asset growth over the ten months was driven by a 6.1% increase in gross foreign assets (3.1% in October) to $5.761 billion, as net foreign liabilities contracted 18.7% (13.2%) to $1.560 billion.
On January 1, the National Bank's net foreign assets amounted to $3.552 billion, having contracted 27.6% over 2010 after growing 53.4% in 2009.
