Returning sales tax being 'seriously' worked on - Nabiullina

MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - The question of returning sales tax is being "seriously" worked through now, Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina said during an interview with Interfax.

"In my view, we need to talk not so much about rates, so much about the redistribution of tax receipts between the center, regions, and municipalities. There is no taboo for us in this discussion. We have not closed the book on discussing the idea of returning sales tax and are seriously working through the possibility," Nabiullina said.
