Russia might take part in modernization of enterprises in India - Sechin

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - India will prepare a roster of enterprises at which Russian companies may take part in modernization efforts, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin said at the 17th session of the Russo-Indian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade-Economic, Scientific-Technical, and Cultural Partnership.

Sechin said that a wide variety of facilities had been built in India with the participation of Soviet specialists, including industrial enterprises, which definitely are now in need of upgrades.

He also said that Russia has already passed on a list of Russian technological platforms to India with contact information about companies involved in related development work.

Sechin added that the Russo-Indian Summit will take place in Russia in a month. Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to visit Russia for this summit.
