Russian banks increase net foreign assets by $12 bln to $53 bln in Oct - Ignatyev

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Russian banks increased their net foreign assets by $12 billion in October 2011, the Central Bank of Russia's Chairman, Sergei Ignatyev, said at a briefing on Friday.

"Net foreign assets of Russian banks increased by around $12 billion in October," Ignatyev said adding that this figure stood at $53 billion on November 1, 2011.

"This is operational information. It will be adjusted in some time," he added.
