Russian Central Bank sells $500 mln in Nov

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - The Russian Central Bank has sold $500 million on the market in November, CBR Chairman Sergei Ignatyev told a briefing on Friday.

"We sold half a billion dollars," he said, speaking of interventions since the beginning of November.

Judging by the volume of interventions, capital outflow is decreasing, he said. "It remains unchanged judging by those operations, but it is decreasing, since earlier we sold more. In September and October we sold more," he said.

The CB said at the beginning of November that is sold $4.373 billion in October - 35.4% less than the $6.766 billion it sold in September. The CB did not buy forex in October.
