MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Russia's gross domestic product grew 0.9% month-on-month in October, Russian Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina reported at a government presidium meeting on Tuesday in Moscow.
"Economic growth in October compared with September, adjusted for seasonal and calendar factors, was 0.9%," Nabiullina said.
This is the highest GDP growth in several months. For January-October, Russia's GDP rose 4.3%, she said.
Agriculture is experiencing high levels of growth. In October, agricultural production grew 52% year-on-year or, on a seasonally adjusted basis, 23.6%, she said.
"These are very high figures, especially in potato, sunflower and sugar beet production," Nabiullina said.
