Four trln rubles to be spent on new arms within three years - Vice-Premier Ivanov
MOSCOW. Nov 24 (Interfax) - Allocations for state defense orders and new armaments will grow a lot in the next three years, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said at the Thursday meeting of the Government's Military-Industrial Commission.
The commission is due to discuss a draft of state defense orders in 2012-2014.
"About 60% of the state defense procurement budget or almost 4 trillion rubles will be spent within the next three years to equip the Armed Forces, primarily to acquire batches of new modern hardware," he said.
