Ruble continues slide vs. dollar Thurs

MOSCOW. Nov 24 (Interfax) - The Russian ruble continued to slump Thursday against the dollar and bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45), which gained another 2.5 kopecks to 36.186 rubles, amid sliding world trading floors and euro gains on the dollar on the Forex market.

The dollar closed on the MICEX up 6.55 kopecks at 31.468 rubles/$1. The euro ended down 3 kopecks at 41.9525 rubles/EUR1.

The average weighted dollar rate gained 14.74 kopecks to 31.4082 rubles/$1 in MICEX Tomorrow deals. There was no Today trading due to the U.S. holiday Thanksgiving. MICEX trading volume amounted to $4.975 billion.

The average weighted euro rate rose 2.1 kopecks to 42.0179 rubles/EUR1 in Today and 5.11 kopecks to 42.0223 rubles/EUR1 in Tomorrow deals. Euro trading combined to EUR 475.387 million, with EUR 216.746 million in Today and EUR 258.641 million in Tomorrow trades.

The overnight MosPrime rate was at 5.31% per annum for a second straight day.
