Rosnedra to submit to govt documentation on extending Rosneft 4 Arctic sections next week

MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Russia's Subsurface Resources Agency (Rosnedra) plans to submit to the government drafts of decisions to provide OJSC Rosneft with three sections on the Barents Sea shelf and another in the Novaya Zemlya region, Rosnedra chief Anatoly Ledovskykh told reporters.

"We are doing the paperwork, wrapping up coordination with the FSB, and next week we will send documents to the government, these are drafts of decisions to extend three licenses in the former 'grey zone' of the Barents Sea and one in the Novaya Zemlya region," Ledovskykh said.

The fourth section will be "in one package" with the other three, he said. He did not offer an estimate of the combined resources contained in the sections.
