OGK-2 genco expands management board to 10 members

MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - The board of directors of energy generating company OGK-2 , which merged with OGK-6 on November 1, has expanded its management board to 10 members instead of 7.

The new consolidated genco reported that the new members were OGK-2 Deputy Corporate Management and PR Director Alexander Kolesnikov, Deputy Marketing and Sales Director Anatoly Yakovlev and Chief Accountant Bary Dolgoarshinnikh.

The three managers previously held similar roles at OGK-6 and were part of the management board. OGK-6 ceased to exist after the merger.

Larisa Klish, the former chief accountant at OGK-2, has been appointed first deputy to Dolgoarshinnikh, OGK-2 told Interfax. Yakovlev will obtain part of the authority held by another OGK-2 deputy general director - Viktor Svistunov (IT and Energy Markets). Kolesnikov is taking a post that is new for OGK-2.

The former Management Board members maintained their positions: OGK-2 General Director Alexei Mithushov, his deputies for economy and finance Natalia Vaitulenis, for resources Valery Gulyaev, for IT and energy markets Svistunov, for production Nikolai Tatarinov, for construction Sergei Sizev and Deputy Legal and General Issues Director Sergei Ivanin.

The OGK-2 board also discussed projects to rebuild units eight and nine at the Troitsk Power Plant. Management has been asked to put together a business plan on an upgrade for the units. Work at unit No.8 began in the spring of 2011 and a decision needs to be taken about the depth of reconstruction at No. 9. Both units are currently working below their projected capacity (500 megawatts each) and the company is considering whether it is a good idea to carry out deep reconstruction and bring them to their projected capacity.

OGK-2 will also raise 719.32 million rubles from its parent company Gazprom Energoholding (including interest of 302.32 million rubles). The generating company's board has approved the terms of the loan: it will be allocated for 10 years at no more than 7.25% per annum.

Prior to the merger, OGK-2 included power plants with consolidated capacity of 8.7 gigawatts (Serov Troitsk, Stavropol and Pskov power plants and Surgut GRES-1 power plant). Another 9.2 gigawatts of capacity was consolidated on November 1 (Ryazan, Novocherkassk, Kirishi, Krasnoyarsk GRES2 and Cherepovets power plants). Gazprom maintains control over the merged company.
