Kazakhtelecom boosts IFRS net profit 50% in 9MN
ALMATY. Dec 2 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's leading telecommunications operator Kazakhtelecom boosted net profit to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 46% year-on-year in January-September 2011 to 39.9 billion tenge in net income (147.68 tenge/$1), the company said.
The company's revenue in the period rose 11% to 121.8 billion tenge, gross profit edged up 0.1% to 36.2 billion tenge, profit before tax was 21% up at 18.2 billion tenge.
Assets since the beginning of the year rose 6.6% to 395.1 billion tenge, equity increased 14.3% to 272.6 billion tenge, while liabilities fell by 7.2% to 122.5 billion tenge.
