Rusvietpetro plans to up oil production 33% to 2 mln tonnes in 2012
MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Rusvietpetro, a Zarubezhneft and PetroVietnam joint venture, plans to increase oil production 33% from the 1.5 million tonnes planned for this year to 2 million tonnes in 2012.
This production growth plan was approved at an extraordinary Rusvietpetro held Friday in Vung Tao, Vietnam.
Rusvietpetro is working at thirteen sites in the Central-Khoreiversky elevation in Nenets Autonomous District. It launched the first deposit, Severo-Khosedayuskoye, last year and the second, TsKHP-Visovoye, in the middle of this year. Rusvietpetro plans to begin production at Zapadno- Khosedayuskoye next year.
The Central-Khoreiversky elevation contains about 100 million tonnes. Production could be taken to 4.7-5 million tonnes per year in 2014-2015.
