Economic situation in Belarus to be "a bit easier" in 2012 - president

MINSK. Dec 9 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expressed hope on Friday that recent economic deals with Russia and other countries would make the economic situation in Belarus "a bit easier" next year.

"I hope that next year things will be a bit easier due to our agreements with the Russian Federation and with other states. The creation of the Common Economic Space [of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan] will make things easier," Lukashenko told a congress in Minsk of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
