Mosenergo expects to increase power production 1.5% in 2012
MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Generating company OJSC Mosenergo expects its electric power output this year will remain flat with 2010 at 65 billion kWt hours, and that it will increase 1.54% to 66-66.5 billion kWt hours in 2012, head of the company's budgeting and management reporting Sergei Poltavtsev said during a Wednesday conference call.
Thermal energy output is likely to be down slightly this year at 66.2-67 million gCal (69.9 million gCal in 2010). This will depend on how cold it gets in the last weeks of this year, Poltavtsev said.
The company expects to produce 66-66.5 million gCal of heat next year.
Poltavtsev reiterated earlier forecasts for company financials. Mosenergo anticipates sales revenues of 161-162 billion rubles (up 11%) and EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) of 24-24.5 billion rubles (up around 20%).
