Azerbaijan sees slight GDP growth in Jan-Nov

BAKU. Dec 14 (Interfax) - GDP in Azerbaijan was 45.48 billion manat (0.7864 manat/$1 on December 14) in January-November 2011, 0.2% up on the same period of 2010, the State Statistics Committee reported on its website.

GDP in the non-oil sector climbed 9.5% in January-November 2011. Nominal GDP was 21.49 billion manat, or 47.2% of the country's GDP.

GDP in the oil sector fell 9.1% in the 11 months.

The committee said industry accounted for 54.9% of GDP, construction for 7.8%, agriculture, forestry and fisheries for 5.6%, transport for 5.2%, trade and financial services for 7.9%, telecoms for 1.7% and other sectors for 11%.

Per capita GDP was 5,026.3 manats in January-November ($6,362.4).

GDP grew 5% in 2010.

The Azerbaijani government predicts 0.9% GDP growth in 2011.
