Georgia forecasts slump in privatization revenue in 2012

TBILISI. Dec 15 (Interfax) - Georgia forecasts privatization revenue of 70 million lari (1.656 lari/$1 on December 14) in 2012, 58.4% down on 2011, the Economy Ministry told Interfax.

According to the amendments made to the 2011 budget in November, planned privatization revenue was raised from the initial 150 million lari to 170 million lari.

The adjustment was due to a successful privatization program, which had raised 162 million lari by mid-November.

Budget revenue from the privatization of state property was 150 million lari in 2010.
