Russia, EU discuss action plan of visa-free travels - Barrosso
MOSCOW. Dec 15 (Interfax) -The European Union and Russia have approved a list of joint moves towards visa-free travels, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said.
Barroso is certain that the process will move in a positive direction, noting that the parties have the same goal which is the introduction of visa free travels.
Medvedev said in turn that Moscow seeks the abolishment of visas in Russian-EU relationship in the near future.
"We hope to achieve the full abolishment of visas in a short historic run," Medvedev said.
However, Barroso said that visa-free regime is a long-term prospect. This will not happened next years, Barroso said.
