Gazprom Neft to more than double Moscow lubricants plant capacity
MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - Gazprom Neft plans to more than double capacity at its Moscow Lubricants Plant from 40,000 tonnes to 90,000 tonnes in three years, the company said in its in-house journal.
The plant, which is in Fryazino, just outside the Russian capital, will ramp capacity up by 20,000 tonnes per year on average. It plans to supply motor oils, transmission fluid and industrial and technical oils to automobile plants in St Petersburg, Kaluga and Naberezhnye Chelny.
Gazprom Neft Lubricants LLC has plants in Omsk, Yaroslavl and Fryazino in Russia, and in Bari, Italy. It launched its G-Energy and G-Family brands in 2010.
Before it acquired the Fryazino plant, Gazprom Neft and Japan's Nippon used the facility for two years on a joint basis to outsource production of industrial lubricants under their brands. Shell also outsourced production there.
