Gazprom discussing sponsorship deal with Bayern Munich FC - reports
MOSCOW. Dec 22 (Interfax) - Gazprom and Germany's Bayern Munich Football Club are discussing a possible sponsorship deal.
German press reports say the Russian gas giant's CEO, Alexei Miller, held talks with Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Uli Hoeness, Bayern Munich's sporting director and president, respectively, on Wednesday.
Gazprom representatives are not yet available for comment.
German newspapers said back in April that Gazprom might sponsor the club, but Gazprom denied this.
Gazprom already sponsors Germany's Schalke04 FC in a deal worth EUR13 million-15 million per year; and its oil subsidiary Gazprom Neft had an advertising deal worth $18.6 million with St Petersburg's Zenit, which could alter depending on the team's results.
