Independent Transport Co pays for Freight One shares
MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Independent Transport Company, which is owned by Vladimir Lisin's UCL Holding and recently won an auction for 75% minus 2 shares in Russian Railways (RZD) subsidiary Freight One, paid the balance of 120.5 billion rubles for the shares on December 22, RZD chief Vladimir Yakunin told reporters.
The company bid 125.5 billion rubles for the shares, but had already paid 5 billion rubles as a deposit. The money was paid to TransCreditBank .
Independent Transport Company won the tender for the stake in Freight One Company on October 28. Freight One Company is Russia's largest rail freight operator. Russian Railways wholly owns the operator. Freight One has around 200,000 railcars. It shipped 302.3 million tonnes of freight in 2010.
