Bashneft to buy filling station chain in Sverdlovsk Region
MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has approved Bashneft's application to acquire a stake in LLC SKOH Group's (based in Yekaterinburg) charter capital, the FAS said in a statement.
According to Interfax's SPARK database, SKON engages in the retail sale of vehicle fuel. The database indicates that the company is owned by Ivan Luzhetsky.
SKON said on its website that the company owns a chain of filling stations under the ERGO brand, as well as automated filling stations developed by the company itself.
Bashneft, prior to this development, has never been represented on the Sverdlovsk region's retail market.
The company plans to expand its presence actively on Russia's regional filling station market.
Bashneft acquired control this year over LLC ASPEK's petroleum product business. The latter company owns around 30% of the market in Udmurtia (two oil bases and 44 filling stations. Bashneft also purchased Orenburgneftegprodukt from Russneft . This enterprise counts for 31% of Orenburg's retail market (over 100 filling stations and 16 oil bases.
Bashneft's chain consists of 440 filling stations.
The biggest players in the Sverdlovsk region are Gazprom Neft with 146 filling stations, of which 38 are located in Yekaterinburg, (as well as 11 oil bases), and Lukoil , with 65 stations in Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region, as well as an oil base.
