Bashneft to produce steady 15 mln tonnes, refine 20 mln tpy oil until 2016

MOSCOW. Dec 27 (Interfax) - Bashneft will produce a steady 15 million tonnes of oil until 2016, says a company strategy for the period, approved by the board of directors on December 26.

The strategy calls for putting the Trebs-Titov fields on stream.

The company plans extensive exploration in its native Bashkortostan and to obtain license to fields in other regions, which should enable it to grow oil and gas reserves substantially after 2016, partly by exploring non-traditional oil reserves in Bashkortostan.

Bashneft plans to refine a steady 20 million tonnes of crude per year until 2016, increasing refining depth from 86% to 94.4% and light product yield from 59.9% to 73.4%; and to meet deadlines for the production of new standards of motor fuels.

The strategy calls for the development of export logistics and the expansion of the retail network from 440 to nearly 1,200 filling stations, which ought to boost sales margins and enable the company to retail up to 80% of the automobile gasolines it produces.

The board approved a business plan for 2012, which calls for the production of 15.2 million tonnes oil and refinery throughputs of 20 million tonnes.

Bashneft, which is controlled by the Sistema holding, holds licenses to develop more than 170 oil and gas fields in Bashkortostan, the Khanty-Mansiisk and Nenets autonomous districts, Orenburg region and Tatarstan.
