Dollar, euro up at MICEX trade start on Wednesday

MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - The dollar and euro opened on the MICEX with gains on Wednesday, while the ruble fell against the bi-currency basket on the back of growth in ruble liquidity.

The dollar opened Wednesday's trade at 31.475-31.525 rubles/$1, 10-15 kopecks above yesterday's closing and 40-45 kopecks higher than the official exchange rate.

The euro stood at 41.15-41.2 rubles/EUR1, roughly 20 kopecks above yesterday's closing and 50 kopecks higher than the official exchange rate.

The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) rose to 35.83-35.85 rubles early on Wednesday, 13-15 kopecks above yesterday's closing.
