GAZ auto works not to start back after holidays until Jan 24

MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - The GAZ automobile plant will not start work again after the New Year holidays until January 24, the company told Interfax.

The company usually has its winter holiday in January, and uses the time to for maintenance and repairs.

The working year starts on January 10 in Russia. The PSA Peugeot-Citroen and Mitsubishi Motors plants in Kaluga start work on that day, as does Volvo Trucks, but Volkswagen's Kaluga plant said it would not resume operations until January 11.
