Russia's 2011 oil exports outside CIS down by 3.9%
MOSCOW. Jan 2 (Interfax) - Russia exported 212.213 million tonnes of oil to countries outside the CIS in 2011 (4.262 barrels a day), which is 3.9% less than in 2010, the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex reported.
In particular, Russia exported 18.216 million tonnes of oil (4.307 million barrels a day) in December.
The Transneft pipeline system pumped 188.099 million tonnes of Russian crude abroad in 2011, and about 24.115 million tonnes was shipped through alternative routes.
Russian oil companies increased oil exports to CIS countries by 13.7% to 29.866 million tonnes in 2011.
Oil shipments to Belarus grew by 40.5% to 18.095 million tonnes in 2011 compared to 2010, while exports to Ukraine dropped in the same period by 21.8% to 4.651 million tonnes and those to Kazakhstan by 4.2% to 7.434 million tonnes.
