Gazprombank CEO Akimov replaces Sergei Ivanov as head of Avtodor observer council
MOSCOW. Jan 8 (Interfax) - Gazprombank CEO Andrei Akimov has been appointed chairman of the observer council of the state company Russian Automobile Roads (GK Avtodor), a government order published on his website says,
Sergei Ivanov, the previous head of the Avtodor observer council, has been relieved of his duties.
On December 22, 2011, Ivanov became head of the Russian presidential administration. Before that appointment, he was deputy prime minister in charge of transport and communications issues.
In accordance with the government order, seven member of the Avtodor observer council have kept their posts. These people are Oleg Belozerov (deputy transport minister), Mikhail Beskhmelnitsyn (Audit Chamber auditor), Yevgeny Bushmin (chairman of the Federation Council committee on the budget) Alexander Novak (deputy finance minister), Oleg Savelyev (deputy economic development minister), Maxim Sokolov (director of the government industry and infrastructure department), and Martin Shakkum (State Duma deputy).
The council also has four new members: Anatoly Chabunin (head of the Federal Roads Agency), Oleg Yeremeyev (deputy chairman of the Federation Council's committee on economic policies), Sergei Kelbakh (board chairman of Avtodor), and Sergei Ten (State Duma deputy).
Igor Levitin (transport minister), Nikolai Ryzhkov (former chairman of the Federation Council commission on natural monopolies), and Sergei Shishkaryov (former chairman of the State Duma committee on transport).
GK Avtodor was created in June 2009.
