Dollar dips, euro gains slightly at MICEX

MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - The dollar dipped but the euro posted slight gains against the ruble on the MICEX on Monday.

The dollar ended the MICEX trading day down 5 kopecks to 31.94 rubles/$1. The euro closed up 1.75 rubles to 40.6025 rubles/EUR1.

The bi-currency basket ended down 2 kopecks to 35.84 rubles.

The average weighted dollar rate was down 16.82 kopecks to 31.9373 rubles/$1 in MICEX Today and 8.64 kopecks down to 31.8951 rubles/$1 in Tomorrow deals.

The average weighted euro rate fell 32.33 kopecks to 40.6744 rubles/EUR1 in Today and 22.43 kopecks to 40.6724 rubles/EUR1 in Tomorrow deals.
